Supporting reforms to immigration policy and practice in The Gambia Last week we welcomed a delegation from The Gambia to discuss our support increased effectiveness and accountability of the Gambia Immigration Department (GID). Gambia’s President Adama Barrow mentioned our support in his 2022 State of the Nation Legislative Address. “The GID collaborated with DCAF to amend the current 1965 Immigration Act and align it with international standards. This amendment will lead to the enactment of the Immigration Service Act 2023.” We’ve been supporting SSG/R in The Gambia since 2017, thanks to the generosity of the EU, France, Germany, and the UK.    26 Sep 2022
