DCAF DAYS 2026

For its 2026 edition, the DCAF Days will bring together policymakers, practitioners, researchers and partners from across the security sector governance community for three days of dialogue, exchange and reflection on key challenges and opportunities shaping the future of security sector governance.

The event will feature public discussions, expert panels and dedicated exchanges with national, European and international partners. It will provide a platform to discuss emerging trends, share experiences and explore practical approaches to strengthening effective, accountable and inclusive security sector governance in a rapidly changing global environment.

The public programme will feature discussions on:

- Syria, exploring the role of security sector reform in supporting recovery, reconstruction and a sustainable political transition;

- Hybrid threats, drawing on the experiences of Armenia and Moldova to examine democratic resilience, institutional preparedness and the role of security sector governance in responding to evolving security challenges;

- The nexus between Global Gateway, trade, investment and security, exploring how security sector governance can contribute to sustainable development, resilient institutions and stronger international partnerships.

In addition to the public programme, the DCAF Days will include a series of invitation-only roundtables and policy dialogues with senior representatives from governments, European institutions, international organisations and civil society.

Further details on the programme and registration will be available soon.
