INCITEGov organizes study groups to promote women's participation in security sector oversight in the Philippines

In the Philippines, the International Center for Innovation, Transformation and Excellence in Governance (INCITEGov) has organized study groups to build the capacity of civil society actors to promote womens participation in security sector oversight.

The involvement of civil society in security sector oversight is a crucial element of good SSG. Independent monitoring of government progress also contributes to SDG Target 16.6 by increasing the transparency, effectiveness, and accountability of public institutions.
