Launch of the United Nations Portal on Women in Justice and Security

DCAF is proud to have worked in partnership with the United Nations Peacebuilding and Peace Support Office on a new global platform for evidence-based action: the United Nations Portal on Women in Justice and Security. Join us for its launch during UN Security Council Women, Peace and Security Week.

Despite global commitments, persistent data gaps continue to limit progress on women’s participation and leadership in justice and security institutions. Developed over 2026, the Portal aims to:
- Present groundbreaking global data on women’s participation in police, corrections, the judiciary, military justice  and mine action institutions
- Highlight good practices and women leaders in justice and security
- Enable benchmarking, peer learning and evidence based policymaking, as more Member States contribute data in successive survey rounds
