Security sector reform and conflict-related sexual violence

To conclude the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, DCAF, in partnership with the Mukwege Foundation, is hosting an online webinar focused on the impacts of peacetime gender equality and gender-based violence (GBV) capacity-building on preventing and responding to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence (CRSV).

The webinar will feature key findings from DCAF’s research on Security Sector Reform and Conflict-Related Sexual Violence, with a specific focus on Mali and Ukraine.

The discussion will explore the critical role of gender-based violence capacity-building in strengthening police and justice sector responses to CRSV, as well as the challenges and good practices observed in conflict-affected settings.

The event will also include expert recommendations for advancing Security Sector Reform and the Women, Peace, and Security Agenda, providing actionable insights for policymakers, practitioners, and experts working in this field.
