This annual report provides an overview of the activities undertaken in 2021, including outcomes, results, and next steps foreseen for the 16 active projects pursued this year.

It includes two special features that highlight the impact of SHRIM projects, in one case resolving and improving the security and human rights situation on a mine site in South Kivu, DRC, and the success of our partners’ advocacy in including two security and human rights recommendations in the Peruvian National Action Plan for Business and Human Rights.

This year marks the fifth anniversary of SHRIM project implementation from 2017 through 2021. The financial section and a special anniversary section of this Annual Report show how the SHRIM has evolved in its efforts to promote security and human rights good practices.
