Description

This e-learning course concerns ethics and morality in the defence sector. Through case studies and suggested readings, the course covers concepts and approaches in ethical decision-making, how ethics are related to military professionalism, ethical dilemmas in the military, and types of ethical misconduct. It offers explanations of typical unethical behaviors found in the military and how they may be avoided, as well as explaining the gravity of ethical shortcomings in the military. It helps learners understand the ways that unethical behavior can negatively impact the military as a whole, and how to recognize and avoid these behaviors, promoting greater morality in the military. The content was mainly prepared by professors George R. Lucas Jr and David Whetham.
