Graham Thompson

Graham joined DCAF in June 2024 from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), where he spent eight years leading the Somalia Stability, Security, and Justice Team. He has extensive experience in conflict and governance, having held senior roles with FCDO and DFID.

As Deputy Head of the UK Stabilisation Unit in London he led three teams of thematic experts deployed globally to support UK and international efforts to promote security, stability, and development in fragile contexts.

He has also worked on conflict, stability, and security issues in a variety of countries, including DRC, Sudan, Sierra Leone, South Africa, Nigeria, Libya, Tunisia, Jamaica, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.
