Report on EUROMED 2020

10 June, 2020

Perceived sometimes as an area of opportunities, sometimes as a vector of crises, the Mediterranean basin is inexorably coveted by a myriad of actors, ranging from the great powers traditionally established in the region, to regional actors including international organizations - all competing with each other to extend their influence. For this reason the Mediterranean is a strategic space with a concentration of challenges in security, geopolitics, economics, migration, the environment and even energy.

The EUROMED 2020 conference in Tunis, jointly organized by the Tunisian National Defense Institute (IDN) and DCAF in March 2020, focused on the influence strategies of key players in the region. This report is a synthesis of the conclusions and recommendations from the conference. In French.
