In Serbia, the Belgrade Centre for Security Policy (BCSP) has published a study assessing procurement processes in the Serbian security sector, focused on cost-effectiveness and quality.

The study identified defects in boots used by the Serbian police, leading to criminal procedures regarding related procurement processes and, ultimately, to improvements in the equipment used by the Serbian police.
