[Niger] Training on Security Sector Reform and Governance

From 01 to 03 December, in cooperation with the National Strategic and Security Study Centre (CNESS), DCAF organised a training programme on Security Sector Reform and Governance (SSR/G) for Nigerien ‘leaders of tomorrow’.

The programme enabled participants to develop a clearer understanding of the concept of SSR/G, especially the political nature of reforming the security sector and the challenges associated with the introduction of SSR processes in Sahel States.

The profile of the event was raised by the presence of S.E. Hermann Nicolai, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany and of S.E. Ms Liliane Alapini, representing ECOWAS’s office in Niger.
