[Niger] Covid-19 inspection report issued by IGSS

Following inspections from 27 April to 02 May of the services and mechanisms which were implemented to prevent the spread of Covid-19 in Niger, the Inspectorate-General for Security Services (IGSS) has liaised with DCAF experts to prepare its fact-finding reports.

The cooperation between the IGSS and DCAF, which is underpinned by a relationship of mutual trust, has enabled DCAF to identify the particular areas in which it can continue to benefit the institution in 2020, not least by developing keys tools intended for inspectors* and continuing to provide "internal oversight and risk control" training programmes for investigators and inspectors.

*Every inspector will be given a digital or hard copy of all the documents they will need to perform their tasks: a compilation of bills governing the IGSS, case studies, report templates, the Pre-Disciplinary Administrative Investigation (EAPD) manual, etc.
