Civil society launches telephone hotline to report human rights violations in Zimbabwe

In Zimbabwe, the Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights launched a telephone hotline to report human rights violations by security actors in the context of the countrys COVID-19 response.

As a result, the organization has successfully filed legal documents on behalf of Zimbabwean citizens who were assaulted by police officers enforcing the lockdown. The hotline has therefore provided access to justice and has enhanced the accountability of security provision.
