Raphael is a Research Assistant in the Asia-Pacific Unit at DCAF. He mainly assists the Head of Unit on a police reform and a legal review project in Southeast Asia. His work also includes administrative and editing support as well as related research in the field of security sector reform (SSR), security sector governance (SSG) and global health crises and the security sector.
Prior to joining DCAF, Raphael interned at the Delegation of the European Union to Switzerland and the Principality of Liechtenstein and at the Embassy of Switzerland in Luxembourg. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy & Economics from the University of Bayreuth and is currently pursuing a law degree at the University of Geneva.
Raphael speaks fluent German, French, English and Spanish.
