Book - "Women in an Insecure World: Violence
Against Women - Facts, Figures and Analysis"
DCAF
presents Women in an Insecure World as a substantial resource for
those working on violence against women, and as a tool to increase
awareness amongst those not yet engaged with the problem.
Women in an Insecure World is an extensive resource of good practices
to prevent and respond to violence against women, at local and international
levels. It draws on the success of women's groups, and the progress
made through the framework of international human rights law.
The three key strategies in eradicating violence against women
are prevention, protection and empowerment. Each approach must involve
women and men, civil society and government, and has local, national
and international dimensions.
