Aim

Launched in May 2011, the DCAF project entitled ‘Development of a Strategic Management Capacity in the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Serbia’ supports efforts to modernise the Ministry of Interior (MoI) and respond to EU enlargement requirements. The project's main objective is to enhance the skills of mid and senior level managers in the Ministry and the Police Directorate in order to improve management practices throughout the organisation, thus contributing to the attainment of the goals of the Ministry’s Development Strategy 2011 – 2016.

Target Audience
The main beneficiary of this project is a select group of 60 MoI civilian and uniformed police managerial staff at the mid and senior levels, who are expected to drive long-term reform efforts in the Ministry for the foreseeable future.

Activities

Over a period of two years the target group will attend a set of internationally recognized management courses on General Management, Leadership, Change Management and Performance Management.  Subsequently, courses in specific areas will be designed to meet the requirements of current developments in the Ministry.

This project is funded by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency.
