Assistance Programme: Moroccan Security Sector Reform

DCAF has engaged with the Moroccan Government, members of parliament, civil society and security officials in a dialogue on strengthening good security sector governance since 2006. As a neutral and independent organisation, it promotes the development of effective, efficient and transparent security and justice providers that are properly controlled, and overseen by the Moroccan executive and legislative authorities, and fully accountable to the Moroccan people.

To this effect, DCAF disseminates international norms and best practices in the area of security sector governance and reform, assists in the implementation of the recommendations made by Morocco's Equity and Reconciliation Commission, conducts capacity-building among members of parliament, and supports the development of civil society.
